about

RTS-ROTREAT concentrates on developing and producing membrane filtration systems.

Depending on the waste water characteristics, the most effective module design is selected.

The reverse  osmosis plant program is standardized and covers capacities from 400 to 50.000 l/h. The working pressure of the RO units vary fro 60 bar to 160 bar.

Membrane filtration is a cross-flow filtration process, i.e. driven by pressure: untreated water flows across an active layer (membrane) at high velocity and the filtrate/permeate passes through the membrane in vertical direction.

Membrane separation is a physical process, i.e. the components to be separated undergo neither thermal, nor chemical, nor biological changes. Reverse osmosis allows the separation of low-molecular substances and inorganic salts.

Reverse osmosis /membrane filtration has proved its suitability in a wide field of applications, such as:

  • purification of landfill leachate
  • effluent from pharmaceutical industry
  • desalination of sea water for drinking water production
  • effluent treatment from textile industry and dyeing process
  • tannery effluent treatment
  • waste water treatment from distilleries
  • waste water from compost plants
  • waste water from manufacturing processes
  • reuse of process water in low emission production cycles
